Please take a moment to read the last few posts from MckMama and pray for Baby Stellan who is currently in the PICU fighting for breathe.
I've been reading her blog for some time now and he is beautiful blessing and miracle from God. MckMama describes seeing her little boy in the hospital and it brings me to tears. Yet her complete faith in God and trust that His will is perfect is humbling.
So, go to her blog, pray, pray, pray and leave her a comment if you feel led. In Christ, we are all one, big family. Please hold them up in prayer!
Would you please keep us in your prayers today? We would really appreciate it.
This morning I will be going to visit my grandfather who is in the hospital after having a dizzy spell and falling. He broke his left cheekbone and his left eye is swollen. He isn't able to lift his left arm, and, although he thinks it's because of how he fell, he isn't completely sure. The doctors don't believe he had a stroke or heart attack, but they are going to run tests to try and find out what has been causing the dizzy spells.
He and my grandmother are in their mid-70's, but still active. They've been married over 50 years and are an amazing inspiration! Please pray for his health, as well as wisdom on the doctors part! Also, pray for my grandmother. That she won't worry, but have peace and that she'll remember to pray and trust God in everything.
Lastly, please pray for Mike and I in the area of wisdom in our decision making. We have some things that we're pursuing and we don't want to make decisions based on our emotions, but on what God wants us to do. We want to be completely in tune to his leading and direction.
Thank you for your prayers and for thinking of us.
Have a great Monday!
Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Nate, Tricia and Gwyneth are in need of your prayers today and in the days to come. Tricia has been recovering from a double lung transplant performed in April, mere months after giving birth to their beautiful daughter, Gwyneth, born 15 weeks premature. Nate has faithfully been by Tricia and Gwyneth's side every step of the way while blogging their journey.
On June 16th Tricia received test results saying she had Post Transplant Lymphoma. Over a period of 5 weeks she would undergo rounds of chemo. Today, Nate posted saying that the cancer had not responded well to the chemo and, in short, would need to start the more aggressive treatments. If her body doesn't respond well to these treatments then, well, it's not good.
Please go read his blog, especially the post from today!
Please pray for peace during this time as well as comfort. This is something that I cannot imagine going through. I cannot imagine the emotions they must be feeling, but God does. He is their comfort, their strength, their rock and He is able to heal Tricia if it His will.
Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
(Please see Nate's blog for more accurate and complete details on the journey they have been on. Please keep praying for them)
Thank you so much for all of your prayers yesterday!
Without going into a lot of detail, Mike and I are in the process of seeking legal counsel. I found a Christian lawyer who is pretty local and we went to see him yesterday. (and, no, we're not in any type of trouble...lol)
The meeting went very well and we left excited (if meeting with a lawyer is exciting)..either way, things look very positive moving forward!
Now comes the financial part...
We don't have the finances to continue with this, so God needs to provide the money for us! I have complete faith and trust that if He wants us to continue then the money will be provided. I also trust in His timing! I know I am the type of person to want to get things done, and so is Mike. However, God's timing is perfect and we need to be patient and wait for His leading.
Proverbs 16:9 " The mind of man plans his way, the the Lord directs his steps."
So, I guess a continuation to this would be to pray for the finances to move forward, faith in God's will to be done (because it will no matter what), trust in God to provide the finances, patience, and the wisdom to make the right decisions. Also, please pray that we would plan our way, but that our way would be God's way.
I just want to add that I am so thankful that God brought Mike and I together! We've been through some pretty tough stuff, both individually and as a couple! I praise God every day that He was merciful during the times we fell away, but even more so that He forgave us and brought us back into the fold! I'm so thankful that God made Himself known to Mike in a way that was real and life changing several years ago. God is awesome!
I am so thankful that God created us to be a team...one person...one flesh!
Ephesians 5:31 "As the Scriptures say, "A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one."
I am reminded of that every day as a wife. Mike and I are a team. It is so easy to forget that sometimes, especially when you disagree about something. As long as we are both striving to be the husband and/or wife that God wants us to be, and we are keeping Him #1 in our lives then He will bless our marriage. We cannot do this without Him!
Anyway, that is my update and a little more than you bargained for. Sometimes when I feel these things I just type and see what comes out!
We have another busy day ahead of us so I'm off to get us ready to go.
Enjoy your Saturday!
(Don't remind me...pictures...I know...lol)
I can't give a lot of details (I know, I'm sorry!) but I would like to ask for prayer for me and my hubby tomorrow. We have a big day ahead of us and I would really like prayer for wisdom, peace, discernment, and trust in God's grace and timing! This is a pretty big deal and I've been praying really hard about this.
Thanks in advance for your prayers and I'll update on the outcome. Again, it will only be vague details, but I'll let you know if it was positive or negative.
(I know I promised pictures, but I'm having trouble with them being transferred. So, I've been playing with the camera since that is where the problem is. Soon...I'll have pictures soon...promise...and they'll be so cute you won't be able to stand it!!!)
Afton had the opportunity to spend a few days with my mom and two sisters, which is great! She's been there since Sunday night and I'll be picking her up this afternoon around 4pm. As we all know, when kids come back home there is usually an adjustment period. They're used to not being under the "normal" house rules, she's been the center of attention, and mommy and daddy haven't been around.
I've been praying that the transition back to regular home life won't be as much of a fight as I am anticipating. So, if you would, please pray as well....
That would be so amazing! I'll let you know how it all goes...
I know everything happens for a reason so I'm prepared for anything, but, boy, it would be nice if it were easy *big grin*
Friday's are the hardest days for me. So, today I am praying for wisdom, patience, understanding, kindness, love and gentleness with my children.
It's the end of a long week. Up early every day and going to bed not as early as I would like (or need).
I read somewhere once, "When you are a mother, every day is Monday." How true that is! While I look forward to the weekends I haven't been able to figure out all the reasons why. I don't get to sleep in, I hit the floor running since my kids are early risers, I follow the same routine as I do during the week, and I'm still just as tired by the end of the day. So, really nothing changes for me except that I don't have to sign in to work at 12:00 (which is nice).
Tomorrow I have plans to go meet up with a friend of mine. She lives about an hour and a half away and there is a consignment store near her that is holding their bi-annual bag sale! They have almost new clothes, mostly brand name, and at a GREAT deal! So, I'm very excited for that. I'll be able to get out of the house for a while and daddy and the kids can "bond"! I never realized how much I would love driving until I started working from home. Now I love the quiet rides, or not quiet depending on if I crank the tunes! Plus, it makes me that much more excited to be home later on!
Children are beckoning me and so is my cold coffee!
Don't forget to keep praying for Tricia and Nate! Tricia's surgery was successful, but now the healing process begins. Pray for her strength and her body's ability to accept the new lungs. Pray for Nate as he is obviously by her side constantly which leads to not a lot of rest. Pray for Gwyneth and her continued growth so she will be well enough to leave the hospital and go home with her parents!!! Please click here to read their amazing story of faith!
I'll be back later with a fresh cup of hot coffee!
Please be praying for Tricia tonight! (Click on this link to read their incredible journey)
Please pray that this surgery will proceed and that God will direct the surgeons who will be performing the surgery. Also, pray for the donor and their family as someone passed away in order for Tricia to have the opportunity to receive new lungs!
If you have a few minutes (or hours) you should definitely read their amazing story!
Don't forget to pray right now for them and every moment they cross your mind!
I'll check back later on....
