It's a Sad, Sad Day

You know it's the end of summer when these disappear from the shelves.

It's also right about the time I start frantically searching for the last of these lovely treats.

I call about a million stores asking if they can send some to my local store so I can stock up!

I always have high hopes of making them last, but it never happens.

Either way I definitely enjoy them while I have them.  I just wish they weren't seasonal.  *sad*

One day I want a little breakfast nook so I can make it into a coffee shop type area. I would decorate it with all those signs and I even found curtains that have a coffee theme!

I would just love that! My house is always open to guests who want to come by for coffee, but to have a special spot to sip & chat would be heavenly!

ahhh...I just love the daydream!

What better way to get over a rainy day then to share more of my favorite things?

It has been raining a ton here! I can't remember the last day we saw the sun. I was joking with someone this morning that I was trading in my sunscreen for sunless tanning lotion. We are definitely lacking in natural Vitamin D!

So, to take my mind off of the wet weather I thought I would share a few more of my favorite things! I'm so excited because I found some new things and an favorite, seasonal item returns!!!

Let's start with my new favorite thing: Starbucks Green Tea Latte's...
oh heavenly flavor, especially iced! It's made with matcha green tea which is super healthy for you (before sweeteners!). It's the perfect summer drink, in my opinion.

Next would have to be the returning favorite: Lindt's Strawberry Rhubarb Yogurt Bar...

I could melt just thinking about them! They are selling like hotcakes too right now!


Another sinful (not really) delight from Lindt is their European Specialties - Raspberry Vanilla Eisdessert .

I just bought one to try it and it's a good thing because if I bought more they would have been devoured in 2.4 seconds. No lie!

Moving on...

It's no secret I love the CO Bigelow lip gloss at Bath and Body Works. In fact, it's the only lip gloss that I use. They have some brand-spankin' new flavors out and I'm loving these ones.



Plus, they have there wicked awesome sale going on right now until Sunday. So, they have home fragrance oils on sale for $2 each! I warmed the sandalwood vanilla and was pleasantly surprised by it's strong, yet gently fragrance.


I blew out the tea lite pretty soon after the scent was released so I didn't burn my warmer. It still smells pretty in here several hours later! So nice.....

So, there you have a few of my favorite things. Of course I have many more, but I have to save some material for later posts!

Virtual Shopping

Everyone once in a while I get this strong urge to do some shopping.
Unfortunately I'm not independently wealthy so I keep a list of all the cute things I see it magazines and satisfy my urge by looking at them online. I usually make a wish list. Ya know...just in case!

All This Time We Said Guys Had it Easy

Now we do too!

No more lining the seats in public restrooms.

No more leaning against a tree while camping.

I gotta say...the person who invented this, patented it, and started selling it has guts! I admire her (boy, I hope it's a her) for doing this.

Oh, how soft and cushion-y they are! As if I were walking on clouds!

They were a steal too. Well, not literally a steal...c'mon now! However, at $4.50 I consider them a pretty darn good deal.

If you want a pair (and I highly recommend you get some...seriously. You won't regret it. Your feet will thank you forever!) you have to visit an Aeropostale store near you. They are on clearance. $16.50 down to $14.50 down to $4.50!!!! Best clearance purchase ever!

I'm gonna go walk around my house now just to enjoy the comfortable softness beneath my feet.

Just another reason to love Starbucks!

I found something really cool on Starbucks.com. It was a "design your own Starbucks card"

program thingy.

Of course, I couldn't resist so I made a few up.

I played with the designs, prints and patterns. Then I chose my wording.

That was the easiest to figure out.

I was also able to use the remaining balance from a generic
gift card to pay for it. Kinda cool!

So, I figured, "Why not?".

Then came the difficult task of choosing the design I like the best.

That was a bit harder.

It was nearly impossible...the options were endless...I love the color orange...

I finally settled on one...(not orange. Crazy, I know)


I have to say I love my new card. Even better, I went to Starbucks tonight
and the barrista loved my card too!
