Clean

This is just a simple request for the bodies that live in this house (this includes me).
After I've picked up the house and made sure that everything is sparkly and clean please don't make food or eat for at least 1 hour. Please. Pretty please. So, I can enjoy the loveliness and the clean smell. The smell of onions and potatoes cooking usually smells great, however, when I see all my hard work being washed down the kitchen sink I really want to cry. That could be the onions, but I doubt it. Request over...thanks for listening! Ciao~

White is not my favorite color right now!

When my hubby left this morning at 5:00 it was raining. This made me very happy because they were saying it would snow! Thinking "we fooled them" I sat down and had my quiet time, drank my coffee and was completely oblivious to the fact that IT WAS STARTING TO SNOW! So, when I looked up and saw white stuff falling from the sky I wanted to cry. Seriously, lump in the throat, tear in my eye, sniffing....waaahhhh! However, I have to say that it does look kind of pretty!
Just thought I would share my "moment" with you since I'm sure you had the same reaction!
Be back later...(hopefully!)

April Fools Day

For all of you who love to play practical jokes on other people or just enjoy torturing them for no reason, this is your lucky day! The one day out of the year set aside just for you.
In the spirit of practical jokes I am giving you this link to have tons of fun with! I can tell you that I've already picked out the perfect "prank" to play on my unsuspecting coworkers when I go in for a meeting. What a day to have a meeting too! They will never expect it and I can't wait to see their faces! (insert evil chuckle)

A few pictures from this morning

At 7:00 this morning, this little ray of sunshine decided
to pop out and say "good morning"

Followed by this bundle of joy!
This was during breakfast.
(I really do wash my children's faces before bed!)

Of course, I started my day with this...mmm mmm good!

These were part of our breakfast this morning!
Tasty!

Bubble fun

We were having some fun this weekend blowing "bubbles" with the stuff that doesn't pop. Boy does it stink though. My head hurt after blowing up my 87th bubble. The kids loved it though, so that was good!

This one came out better than I expected only because I don't have the right
camera for these kind of "creative" shots. One day I'll have my dream camera!

Caleb was doing great blowing them up. He started this one all by himself.

This shot was perfect! I was trying to catch her as she tossed it up and
I took it at just the right moment!

I have more pictures to add from Easter and others of the kids playing outside today, but I'll add those later. Right now I'm going to go make myself a cup of tea and sit down before I go to bed!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

One of the things I love about having your quiet time with God in the morning, before the start of your day, is it puts everything into perspective. The house is quiet, the kids are sleeping, you have your cup of coffee (or tea) and you pray that God directs your reading to what He knows you need.

"Ask and you shall receive"

But beware...it may not be what YOU thought you needed to read! (Funny how that works)

So, this morning I pulled up this devotional from February 5th. It was titled "Respect". Amazingly enough, it's was about the exact thing I've been working on and praying about for a long time! What a powerful reminder that we need to obey God's command to respect our husbands! We may not think they deserve it, but that isn't our call. We are to obey and only after we obey will we see a "miracle".

That is such a difficult thing to remember in the heat of the moment. I struggle with it every day and am constantly learning to "adorn" myself "with a meek and quiet spirit" (1 Peter 3:3-6). I'm much better than I was so that is a good thing (I just hope my hubby thinks so too!)

Anyway, I encourage you to read the devotional that I linked above, as well as going through the archives. I'm going to go reheat my coffee now!

Have a happy Wednesday!
